Adaptix Limited – Relationship length 2023 – Present
Adaptix Limited is transforming radiology through the development of innovative 3D imaging technologies that are significantly better, safer, smaller, and more affordable than traditional radiology systems.
At the core of our patent portfolio and commercialization strategy is a distributed Flat Panel X-ray Source (FPS) system which has applications across a multitude of global markets that are currently limited to 2D X-ray imaging systems where cost, speed to diagnostic result, location, or dose concerns, mean CT is not optimal.
Adaptix’s central mission is to transform radiology by offering affordable low-dose 3D imaging at the point-of-care and allowing “3D-first” as the standard of care.
As we transition from R&D to manufacture, the FPA site in Edinburgh has been established as the production base where we are developing and expanding the team to meet those demands.
The Purpose of our Engagement
We were keen to establish a relationship with a respected recruitment company that knows the local market. Our Operations Director, John Valentine, met with Kleboe Jardine to discuss Adaptix’s vision and the value of partnering with Kleboe Jardine.
At the time Adaptix was in the launch process of 2 commercial products, namely Vet 3D X-ray and NDE. The growth plans also included launch to the US market, as well as bringing their human imaging product closer to commercialisation.
It was therefore crucial to establish a core team of engineers to support each of these phases of the product portfolio. An initial hire to establish credentials was agreed, and upon successful completion of the project Kleboe Jardine could then operate as our exclusive supplier in Scotland.

Our highest priority was to establish a Service and Support Engineering function at the Edinburgh site. The Service Engineer would be instrumental in supporting the wider team to set-up our product service and support structure, as well as providing hands-on product support and repairs. They would also be a source of functional expertise for key manufacturing processes by providing expert guidance and DFM input.
It was crucial to find candidates with extensive support engineering experience. Ideally the incumbent would have experience establishing a new service function and prior experience with imaging tech or medical devices.
Kleboe Jardine utilized their expertise within the Scottish market and sourced several high-quality candidates that matched our brief. Candidate profiles were presented to us in a meeting and discussed thoroughly. The opportunity to ask questions at this stage helped us to develop an early understanding of candidate’s strengths, experiences, and motivations. The presentation was refreshing and added considerable value to our decision making process. It demonstrated Kleboe Jardine’s thorough approach to their process and felt consultative.
Following the presentation first stage interviews were arranged, with two candidates progressing to the final stage of the interview process. The favoured candidate was offered and accepted the role, they have since started working with our Edinburgh team. The individual hired and the recruitment process itself were both exceptional.
Following the success of this project, we partnered with Kleboe Jardine to recruit an Electronics Manufacturing Engineer. That role has also been completed and our new colleagues will be central to supporting Adaptix’s growth journey.
Kleboe Jardine’s approach is refreshing and the value added to our process was recognised by all stakeholders. Their agility, professionalism and delivery is an asset that we will happily recommend to others.
